Wellness Provisions and Implications in Plan Design

This session will begin with a review of wellness provisions in recent legislation on both a local and federal level.  Ms. Motika will look at Colorado House Bill 1160 signed in July as well as the wellness provisions in the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPACA).  She will review the legal implications and discuss the new law's impact on employers.  Ms. Esselman will follow with a discussion about how these provisions could affect Healthcare plan designs now and in the future.  It will be critical for employers to understand how these legislative changes will shape meaningful plan designs and effective partnerships with vendors and carriers.
