Speakers 2010: Janet Byrne, CPA
Financial Control Analyst, Pinnacol Assurance
Ms. Byrne is a Certified Public Accountant with over twenty years’ experience in finance and accounting. Ms. Byrne currently works for Pinnacol Assurance as a business process and financial analyst. She spent the last two years assisting in the development of the Company’s health risk management product which is expected to reduce the frequency and duration of workers compensation claims. Prior to joining Pinnacol Assurance, Ms. Byrne was Vice President of Financial Management for Riskcap Inc., a captive management and consulting firm. She also spent eleven years with the Colorado Division of Insurance, where she began her career as a financial analyst and eventually served as the Deputy Commissioner of Financial Regulation. Ms. Byrne began her career in public accounting, working for the Denver office of BDO Seidman. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where she received her Bachelor of Business Degree in Accounting.
