Speakers 2010: Bob Goodman
Benefits Manager, Manatee County Government (retired)
Recently retired, Bob Goodman served for over 15 years as the Manager of Benefits for the Manatee County, FL Government. In that role, he designed and managed a leading-edge health benefits program for employees. This program won multiple national and local awards for innovative design, program effectiveness, and benefits leadership. Initiatives included a state-of-the-art integrated comprehensive Personal Health Information (PHI) questionnaire, Electronic Wellness Medical Record (EWMR) and WebChart with Gaps of Care reporting with cell phone messaging. The program was self-funded, administered in-house, promoted wellness/prevention, included a two-tier pharmacy network, and directly contracted with providers. In 2006, Manatee County brought EAP and behavioral health services on-site and integrated the program with all health and wellness programs. Mr. Goodman developed the original electronic automated census and claims adjudication systems that operated from multiple locations. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a BS in Commerce.
