Speakers 2010: Mark Major, JD

Mr. Major is an employee benefits attorney in Denver, Colorado. His experience over the past 30 years encompasses the full range of employee and executive level benefit plan design and compliance activity. Mr. worked on issues involving health and welfare benefits as well as qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, including IRS and DOL audits, major corporate spin-offs and acquisitions, collective bargaining contracts, VEBA trusts, severance plans, vendor negotiations, and prohibited transactions, as well as plan drafting, annual reporting, communications, and claim and appeal review. He continues to support large and small employers, as well as plan administrators and consultants, in a wide range of matters. Mr. Major received his BA summa cum laude, from Creighton University, and his JD, magna cum laude, from the Creighton University School of Law. He is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations and a former member of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Business Health Forum.
