CCH 2010 - Our Fourth Year

General Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstract submissions must be electronically submitted by Friday, May 28, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. Selection notifications will be emailed by Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Selected presenters will receive a complimentary registration to the conference.

Abstracts may be entered directly online; however, we highly recommend that you prepare your abstract in a word processing application and use the cut-and-paste method. Using your word processing tools, ensure that your word or character counts match those identified in the abstract submission. Please remember to spell check your abstract before submitting. Graphs, tables, and other supporting documents are not permitted. Presenting authors must complete the online Biographical Data Form. If submitting authors are unable to present at the conference, their replacements must also complete and submit the form.

Each presentation should be 45 minutes allowing 5 minutes at the end for questions.

Submitting a Completed Abstract

Each submission must contain three learning objectives.

  • Abstracts must be written in English, under 400 words (not including the title, authors’ names or the three learning objectives) and must clearly describe the session content and instructional methods.
  • Title of presentation should be no more than 15 words.
  • All abstracts must directly address the conference tracks as wells as the goal and topic areas.

Abstract Review

Abstracts will be reviewed using the criteria outlined below.

  • Content: presentation is evidence-based, significant, innovative; meets identified conference tracks or topics; and relevant to policy experts, professionals whose area of expertise is health and wellness or benefit management in private and/or public sectors.
  • Learning Objectives: stated in terms of participant behavior, realistic, measurable, matched with content and appropriate for the conference audience.
  • Presenter(s): educational preparation, experience and qualifications related to the topic.
  • Instructional Methodology: actively involves the audience in addition to lecture and/or discussion.
  • Presenters who have not presented at past Colorado Culture of Health™ conferences will be given priority consideration.

On behalf of the sponsoring organizations: The Colorado Business Group on Health, Mountain States Employer Council, The Colorado Physical Activity and Nutrition Program, and LiveWell Colorado, thank you for participating in the 2010 Colorado Culture of Health Conference.
